The Gym Is Not The Enemy

Gym
That feeling that everyone is staring at you...
No matter how experienced of a gym-goer someone is, there is always that feeling that people are watching you while you work out.  In some cases, you'll glance over and see a trainer looking at your technique, or that one  creepy guy who watches everyone.  Believe it or not, often times they aren't looking at you at all!  Most times, people will stare at themselves in the mirror while they work out to make sure they are performing well! So next time you  think you feel those eyes on you, brush it off and kill the rest of your work out!
Excuses, excuses.

"It's too much work to get weights out, I'll just use the treadmill today." "There are too many people in the gym right now, I'll come back later." There are so may excuses out there that people will use to get out of their daily work out, but no more! There are so many options to getting in your 30 minutes a day.  Go for a walk with the dog, pull out that home workout video that's collecting dust on the shelf, go out for a night of dancing! The possibilities are endless, and the resources are out there for anyone that's looking.

Take it one step at a time
Everyone starts somewhere, and we all learn at different paces.  Just because your friend Stacy lost 20 pounds already, and you only lost 10 does not mean you should give up! Try to find new exercises, try more of those classes at your gym, take the stairs instead of the elevator. Go at your own pace, and be proud of your progress!
